NILES - Antonio "Tony" S. Inglesias, 79, of Niles, Michigan, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, following a brief illness. He was born on September 8, 1932, in Pontevedra, Careedo, Spain, to Benigno and Teresa (Sueiro) Inglesias. He worked as a journeyman electrician for Local #153 of South Bend. In 1952 he moved to the Niles area, coming from South Bend. Tony was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Army, and was an avid Notre Dame fan! On May 5, 1962, in Valparaiso, Indiana, he married Rosetta Theodbald, who survives. Tony is also survived by a son, Byron of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and a sister, Victoria Nieto of Spain. Services for Antonio S. Inglesias will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with the Rev. David Otto of Saint Mary Catholic Church of Niles officiating. Friends may call from noon Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Military honors will follow burial committal services. Contributions in memory of Tony may be made to the donor's choice.
