SOUTH BEND - Richard B. Watts, 72, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010, in his home. He was born on October 20, 1938, in Great Falls, MT, to the late Robert Burley and Bernice Julia Watts. He moved to this area, coming from Northern California, in 1980 and had lived here ever since. On November 20, 2003, he married Sharon Delinski, who survives. Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda, and a son, Matthew, both of Northern California; a step-daughter, Corrie (Tom) Klimek of South Bend; two stepsons, Jim (Jonna) Ayers of Walkerton, IN, and Bobby (Diane) Lochmondy of Pasadena, TX; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, Jacob, Joel and Jorjia Ayers of Walkerton, and Sally Klimek of South Bend; two sisters, Julia Guilmet of Spokane, WA, and Rita Ainor of Las Vegas, NV; and by two brothers, Jim of Cassopolis, MI, and Delano of Sacramento, CA. Richard worked for Century Fiber Glass for 15 years before retiring in 2008. He was a United States Army veteran. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with burial to conclude at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge.
