SOUTH BEND - Kathy Jenczewski, 69, of South Bend, IN passed away on July 21. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, parents John and Blanche (Valinski) Cebrat, and nieces Rose and Susan Jakubczak. In June, 1960, Kathy married Joe Jenczewski. Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Tom) Ebzery of North Attleboro, MA, and Anne (Andy) Peickert of New Carlisle, her sister Janice Lampos, and four beautiful granddaughters, Allie, Danielle, and Carly Ebzery, and Aimee Peickert. Also surviving are sister-in-law Nancy Dustman, Diane Jenczewski, and brother-in-law Ron McCall, nephews and nieces Dr. Ricky Tubbs, Brenda Tubbs, Kim Samulski, and Ronnie McCall. She will be missed by family dogs, Daisy of New Carlisle and Buster of North Attleboro. Kathy was one of 190 students that started 1st. grade and attend the same school through l2th. grade at the original Washington High School, when it was located on Sample Street. Kathy, or kj, as she was known, was General Manager of MicroScreen in South Bend, IN for 30 years. She served for two years as President of Indiana Chapter of IMAPS, and was a member of SMTA and IPC organizations. Kathy was a member-at-large on the Board of Directors, Stone Oak Home Owners Association. She loved to travel both on business and family trips. Although the family vacation to Hawaii was very memorable, her favorite trip with the family was to Italy where they had the opportunity to meet the Pope. Visitation will be at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 North Bendix Drive, South Bend, on Sunday July 24, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a short service following.
