Jacob Demske, son of Thomas Demske, and Mary Kwiatkowski, daughter of John Kwiatkowski [aka Flowers], married at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, on October 30, 1889. (St. Hedwig Catholic Church and St. Joseph County marriage records)
Their 1900-1940 census records indicate that they had the following children (in birth order): Stephen, Albina, Maggie, Lottie, Hilder L. [Leo}, and Harry. Jacob Demske was a cabinet maker. His funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend. Survivors included his widow Mary; sons Steven, Leo, and Harry Demske, all of South Bend; daughters Mrs. Walter Wozniak [Albina] of South Bend; Mrs. Claude Sailor [Lottie] of Mishawaka; and Mrs. Louis Lamerand [Magdalena] of Cleveland, Ohio.(from his obituary published Wed., Jan. 24, 1940 in the South Bend Tribune)
