SOUTH BEND - Zbigniew J. "Ziggy" Wlochowski, 82, passed away at 6:10 pm Saturday, August 11, 2012, in Memorial Hospital. Zbigniew was born August 24, 1929, in Poland, to the late Jozef and Maria (Antkiewicz) Wlochowski . On October 8, 1998, Zbigniew married Elsa (Moffett) Mohrich, who survives along with children, Beata (Robert) Skrobutt of Chicago, IL, George (Tina) Wlochowski of South Bend and Margaret (Robert) Sutphin of Tennessee; stepchildren, David (Dawn) Moffett of Mishawaka, Steven Moffett of Mishawaka, Deb Crosby of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, William, Catherine, Matthew Skrobutt, and Derek Sutphin; step-grandchildren, Jordan, D.J. and Michael Moffett, and Shane Crosby; former wife, Janina Wlochowski of South Bend; sisters, Halina Rola and Krystyna Nawiesniak of Poland; and brother, Julian (Halina) Wlochowski of South Bend. Zbigniew honorably served in the Polish Army as a truck driver. He was employed with Don Meadow Automotive from 1965 until his retirement. He enjoyed working on cars, and also enjoyed gardening. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2012, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 12:00 pm.
