Robert F. Klowetter, 62, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in his residence. Mr. Klowetter was born on Oct. 21, 1937 in South Bend as was a lifelong resident. He graduated from John Adams High School and then attended Purdue University. He was employed with Bendix-Allied Signal from Sept. 12, 1956 until Nov. 1, 1993, where he retired as an Employment Manager-Bargaining Personnel.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy M. Klowetter of South Bend; his sister and her husband, Margaret and John Fisher; a niece and her husband, Sandra and Jeff Cummings; a great nephew, Michael Cummings; and by a nephew, Matthew Fisher, all of Seattle, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Marie (Nowicki) on April 20, 1989; his father, Warren E. Klowetter; and by a nephew, John Michael Fisher.

Mr. Klowetter was a member of the American Legion Post #50 S.A.L.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #50, 1633 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN 46628.
