Thomas F. Kowalski, 49, of South Bend, IN passed away at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. He was born on January 1, 1958 in Little Rock, AR to Marion J. and Mary Ann Kowalski. Mr. Kowalski is survived by a daughter, Rachel Kowalski of Hot Springs, AR; two sons, Brandon (Jennifer) Kowalski of South Bend, IN and Stephen Kowalski of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Michael, Tia, Dylan and Braeden; four sisters, Barbara M. Rojana, Mary T. Pope, Joan E. Humphries, Dorothy L. Fair; three brothers, Andrew J. Kowalski, Michael S. Kowalski and Casimir G. Kowalski. A son, Joseph Kowalski, two sisters, Angela P. Kowalski and Christine A. Shelby, preceded him in death. Mr. Kowalski lived most of his life in Jacksonville, AR coming to South Bend, IN in 1989. He was an electrical worker for IBEW Local 153 in South Bend. Mr. Kowalski loved children and was a very strong and generous person.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN. Rev. Tim Stewart will officiate. Burial will take place in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Jacksonville, AR. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Thomas F. Kowalski may be offered to the IBEW, Local 153, 1345 Northside Blvd. South Bend, IN 46615
