"Mrs. Francs Kujawski. age 60, died in the home of her daughter Clara Jaskowiak, 501 South Brookfield, this morning….Funeral services will be held in St. Adalbert's church….Interment…in Cedar Grove cemetery. She was born in Poland Nov. 25, 1869,* and came to South Bend 40 years ago from Baltimore, Md. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jaskowiak, Mrs. Mary Button, of Bremen, Ind., and Mrs. Edna Mnichowski and three sons, Max, Andrew, and Joseph of this city."

According to the Cedar Grove Cemetery lot cards, she was laid to rest in the same lot as her husband and two of their children. She has no grave marker.

Re: Ignatius Kujawski's memorial for additional biography.

*Her 1900-1920 census records are consistent within two years about her age, indicating that she was born 1857-1860, so perhaps she was born Nov. 25, 1859, instead of Nov. 25, 1869.

Mrs Francis Kujawski, mother of Mrs. Steve (Mary) Button of Lake of the Woods died early Wednesday morning inthe homeof her daughter Clara, Mrs Frank Jaskowiak inSouth Bend, she had been ill about two weeks. Mrs.Kujawski was nearly 73 years old. She was born in Poland November 25 1857 andcameto this country as a little girl. About 40 years ago she came to South bend from Baltimore andhas lived inthe area since then. Surviving are three daughters and three sons. Mrs Steve Buttonof Lake of the Woods, Mrs Vincent (Elizabeth - Edna) Mnichowski and Mrs. Frank (Clara) Jaskowiak both ofSouth Bend, Max Andrew and Joseph also of South Bend. There are also 19 grandchildren and eight great grand children. Her husband,twosons and two daughters also preceeded her. Funeral services will be heldat St Adalberts Church and burial will follow at Cedar Grave Cemetery.
