SOUTH BEND - Elizabeth R. Granning, 76, passed away at 2:56 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2010 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center. Elizabeth was born on April 10, 1933 in South Bend to Alec and Cecelia (Kish) Boosi. She was a Washington High School graduate who also coached Junior Bowling at Chippewa and loved her dogs and feeding the outside squirrels. On November 23, 1963 she married Carl G. Granning who survives. Also surviving are two daughters Colleen (Robert) Sherbun of Mishawaka and Anna Marie (Don) Silvers of Osceola; a granddaughter Nicole Sherbun and a great-grandson Jaxon Robert Michael Sherbun. Elizabeth was preceded in death by 4 sisters Irene Martin, Patricia Talboom, Ann Tompkins and Helen Boosi; and 5 brothers Louis Boosi, Julius Boosi, Steve Boosi, Joseph Boosi, and John Boosi. The Granning family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, for all the care and support they provided. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, January 16, 2010 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
