============

Joseph B. Kolo, 83, residing in Granger, passed away at 4:40 am Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in his home. He was born August 17, 1932 in South Bend to the late Joseph B. and Lottie Rose (Luczkowski) Kolo. On September 17, 1955 in South Bend, Joseph married the former Dolores A. Ryback, who survives. In addition to his loving wife of 60 years, he is survived by his daughter, Lynn M. (David) Lange of Granger and their children, Gracie of Granger, Ellie of Chicago, IL, and Joey of Granger; sons, Joseph B. (Becky) Kolo and their son, Joseph, all of Colleyville, TX, John R. (Jane) Kolo and their children, Taylor and Mackenzie, all of Granger and Michael A. (Laura) Kolo and their daughters, Sara and Jessica, all of Edwardsburg, MI; and one sister, Mary Jane Kulwicki of Edwardsburg, MI.
Joseph served his country honorably in the United States Army as an Operations and Intelligence Specialist during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Associates as Vice President after 34 years. He then co-owned Marikol Marketing Services for ten years, from which he retired December 31, 1999. Joseph was a longtime member of St. Therese, Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend and American Legion Post 357. Joseph and Dolores lived most of their lives in the South Bend area and wintered in Florida for sixteen years. Joseph loved his children and grandchildren greatly and never once missed a performance or sporting event. He was a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and all Notre Dame Athletics, and was an avid golfer. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Shaya Mokfi, Dr. Dahan Al-Fadhl, Signature Health Care, the 3rd floor staff at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Heartland Hospice and the staff of Always Best Care of Michiana for their excellent care of Joseph. Words can’t accurately describe the positive influence Joseph has had on the many people’s lives he has touched. He will be missed for the knowledge, love and role model leadership he provided us on a daily basis. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015 in St. Therese, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 Ironwood Road, South Bend, where friends may also visit with the family one hour prior to mass.
