SOUTH BEND - Mildred A. Kulesia, 84, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, peacefully in her sleep. Mildred was born April 23, 1928, to the late Joseph and Mayme Wagner.On May 1, 1954, Mildred married Leonard Kulesia; they were married for 40 years until his death on September 11, 1994. Mildred was also preceded in death by brothers, Wilber and Norman Wagner.Survivors of Mildred include her children, Jim (Susan Snyder) Kulesia, Brian (Kathleen) Kulesia and Janet (Ron) Ericson; grandchildren, Jason (Erin), Jeffrey, Kevin, Randy and Nichole Kulesia, and Troy Ericson; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Andrew and Aiden Kulesia; sister, Dolores Sabo; and many nieces and nephews.Mildred was a parishioner at Holy Family Catholic Church; she loved God, her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her business family. She enjoyed traveling around the world and she loved coming home! Mildred loved Notre Dame football and playing cards with her friends. She was a perfect example of grace, gentleness, kindness, compassion and generosity. Mildred supported and nurtured her family. In May 1957, Leonard and Millie established K-Wood Products Company, Inc., a custom made kitchen cabinets and specialized Box Company. In the late 1960s, the business evolved into a lumber and building materials business on State Road 2. This family owned and operated business proudly serves the Michiana community.Visitation for Mildred will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 6, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, December 7, 2012, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Road, South Bend, Indiana 46619.
