BODY OF MAN FOUND IN RIVER
The body of a man was tentatively identified as Victor Putrzenski, 42 of 511 N. Johnson was taken fromthe St Joseph Riverabout two blocks southeast ofthe Angela Blvd bridgeat 10:30 a.m. today. Police said the body appeared to have been in the river for three weeks. Identification was made on the basis of a social security card. Police said that Putrzenski had been missing since March 6. Police said friends of the man said Putrzenski had been despondent because of ill health, The missing Putrzenski was the husbandof Mrs. Irene Putrzenski who was fataly injured in an auto accident in New Carisile, last September.

My fathers body was found in the river by theYWCA. It was thought by the family he was in Buffalo, New York where his sister lived. I think he was born there, but do not know for sure.

RIVER DEATH RULED A SUICIDE
After a Medical and police examination Cornner Edward S Shelly issued a verdict of suicide inthe dearth of Mr. Victor Putrzenski of 511 Johnson whos body was taken from the river Monday morning. Dr Shelly speculated the body had been in the water for two. It was discovered southeast of the Angela street bridge. A medical examination indicated the man had died of drowing.Police investigation showed that he had been despondent following the death of his wife, Mrs. Irene Putrzenski in an auto accident last September. The funeral willbe held next Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home where friends may call. He is survived by his mother Mrs Helen Putrzenski of South Bend and three brothers and three sisters.
