MISHAWAKA - Kurt A. Luxnat, 93, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Sprenger Healthcare, Mishawaka. He was born on September 8, 1923 in Galdop, Germany to the late Albert and Amelia Luxnat. In 1954 he married Ruth Astrid Sousley who preceded him in death in 1988. he was also preceded in death by seven sisters. Mr. Luxnat is survived by his son, Mark E. Luxnat of Bloomington, IN; daughter, Carolyn G. Luxnat of South Bend, IN. Mr. Luxnat moved to Bremen in 1952 coming from Germany and then moved to North Liberty in 1954. He worked as a carpenter for H.G. Chrisman. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. John's Cemetery, North Liberty, IN. Rev. Vicki Blough will officiate.
