Avid fisherman and lifelong Mets and Notre Dame fan, Ronald A. Rzepnicki, 66, of New Paltz, NY, passed away at home on Sunday, April 12, 2015 while in the company of his wife Wren and family. Born on February 11, 1949, in South Bend, IN, he was the son of Bernard J. and Lillian (Wegner) Rzepnicki. He married Wren Kawamoto on August 30, 1969, in Louisville, KY. He was a member of the FIN-ADDICTS, and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, New Paltz, NY. He was retired from the New York State as a Regional Director of quality assurance for OMRDD, located in Albany, NY. Surviving are his wife, Wren (Kawamoto) Rzepnicki , at home in New Paltz, his father, Bernard J. Rzepnicki, Kingston, NY, three sons, Daniel Rzepnicki, Woburn, MA, Joshua Y. Rzepnicki, Jenkintown, PA, and Matthew A. & his wife Antoinette Rzepnicki, Virginia Beach, VA, daughter, Rachel Rzepnicki, Simpsonville, SC, grandchildren include, Daniela, Chaeli, Caleb, Benjamin, Skylar, Kael, two sisters-in-law, Suzu Kawamoto and Phoenix Kawamoto, both of Rhinebeck, NY, and a nephew, Shamballa Kawamoto of White Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Church, 34 South Chestnut Street, New Paltz, NY 12561.In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., NY, NY 10065 or online at http://giving.mskcc.org, or New Paltz Rescue Squad, 74 North Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY 12561.
