Stephen S. Urbanski, 71, of 1817 Prairie Ave., died at 8:45 p.m. Friday at St. Josephs Hospital after a two-week illness. He was a retired employee on the staff of the University of Notre Dame. He was born Aug. 23, 1894, in South Bend, and was married June 7, 1952, in South Bend, to Mary Pukrop Munson, who survives. Also surviving is a stepson, Daniel Munson, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Mrs, Adeline Kaniewski, of South Bend; a grandchild and five step-grandchildren; two brothers, Edmund and Thaddeus, both of South Bend; five sisters, Mrs. Blanche Otolski, Mrs. Mary Burzynski, Sister Mary Esdras, of the Congregation of Holy Cross, on the staff of St. Josephs Hospital; Mrs. Theresa Chelminiak, Mrs. Lillian Prawat, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Hungary Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Sabo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. He was a member of Polish National Alliance lodge 83, a former conservation officer in Martinsville, Ind.
