According to the 1900 census of South Bend, Indiana, "Ladoslova" Pierzynski was living with her parents, Alexander and Antonia Pierzynski. They all were born in Poland and had immigrated in the 1890s. Alexander, aka Xavier, died in 1903. (St. Hedwig Catholic Church record; WPA, "Indiana, Index to Death Records")

On May 1, 1905, Rev. George Kolesinski, assistant pastor of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, married Anton Matuszkiewicz and Wladyslawa Piersynski. The applications they filed with the county include the following information: Tony, a laborer in South Bend, was born June 12, 1878 in Poland to Michael & Agnes Ponzukowiak Matuszkiewicz. Wladyslawa, a housekeeper in South Bend, was born May 31, 1884 in Germany to "Savar" & Victoria Elesko Pierszynski (sic*). It was the first marriage for both Tony and Wladyslawa.

According to the 1910 census of South Bend, the household of Anton and Lottie "Matuszkevics" included sons Frank and Ferdinand, and Lottie's mother, Antonia "Prezinzska".

South Bend Tribune, Sat., Feb. 15, 1919, p. 5:

She was married here in 1915 (sic)."Funeral services will be held Monday at St. Hedwige's Polish Catholic church, Rev. Anthony Zubowicz officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery."

The 1920 census of South Bend lists Anton "Mascovitz"; his children (in birth order): Helen, Freddie, Clemens [Clementine], Valera, Frank, and Stanley; and Anton's mother-in-law Antonia "Perziusko".

According to the 1930 census, Antonia continued to live with and help care for her grandchildren. Antonia died in 1938. (obituary)
