[SOUTH BEND - Virginia Kenna, 97, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014, in Akron, Ohio. Virginia was born in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Matthew and Blanch Lewinski. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and brother, James Lewinski. She is survived by daughter, Jill (Robert) Burnstine; granddaughter, Randi (Lee) Scherr; great- granddaughters, Kenna and Marlo Scherr; and sister, Violet Rydzynski. We will all miss her strong spirit and sense of humor. The family would like to thank all the caring people at Chambrel Retirement Home who have shown her such love and respect over the last eight years. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 9, at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Church, South Bend, Indiana. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
