SOUTH BEND - Waldemar Francis Klota, 74, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 3:20 p.m. in his residence. Waldemar was born December 14, 1934, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Louise (Luzny) Klota. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Klota and Wendell Klota; and by his sister, Aline Klota. He is survived by his two sisters, Stephanie Klota of South Bend and Roberta (Gordon) Langner of South Bend; his brother, Frank Klota; and by several nieces and nephews. Waldemar was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the St. Joseph Club. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, mushroom hunting, and singing in the church choir. Waldemar honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 14th, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will also be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 331 S. Scott St., South Bend, IN 46601.
