MISHAWAKA - Barbara A. Davis, 80, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital. Barbara was born on January 7, 1937 to the late Clarence J. and Helen L. (Glesmer) Klein in Mishawaka, IN and was a lifelong area resident. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles. E. Klein and a sister, Karen L. (Klein) Eckstein. Barb graduated in 1956 from St. Joseph High School, South Bend. Barb retired in 2014 from School City of Mishawaka, where she worked for 41 years as a Bus Driver. October 31, 1959 she married Ben L. Davis at St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church in South Bend. Barb is survived by her husband, Ben Davis of Mishawaka; four sons, Timothy of Mishawaka, Randall of South Bend, Jeffrey (Barbara) of Osceola and Gregory of South Bend; one granddaughter, Lauren Davis of Mishawaka; one sister, Suzanne Klein of South Bend; three brothers, Michael Klein of Texas, Christopher Klein of Mishawaka and Patrick Klein of Texas; and four sisters-in-law, Shirley A. Klein of South Bend, Charlotte Vinson of Wolcottville, Sandy Dean of Mishawaka and Elizabeth Perkins of South Bend.
Barb enjoyed camping, gardening, spending time at their lake cottage and watching Notre Dame football and basketball. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, www.arthirits.org.
