SOUTH BEND - Kathleen A. Agostino, 76, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN, following an illness. She was born on May 4, 1940 to the late Thaddeus and Cecilia (Brzezinski) Urbanski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Thaddeus Urbanski. Kathleen retired in 2002 from Madison Center in South Bend, IN, where she worked as a secretary. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary for the University of Notre Dame. Kathleen is survived by her soul mate and loving companion, Chet Pluta of South Bend, IN; three daughters, Cathy (Andy) Blalock of Columbus, OH, Joyce Pluta of South Bend, IN and Jennifer (Thomas) Hupp of South Bend, IN; two sons, David (Tracy) Agostino of South Bend, IN and Anthony (Carrie) Agostino of South Bend, IN; 11 grandchildren: Randy, Cammie, and Tarryn Blalock; Aaron, Derek, Kevin, Nathan, and Alexis Agostino; James Pluta; Meghan and Faith Hupp; two great-grandchildren, Weston Blalock and Cheyenne Jester; and one sister, Mary Ann (Gene) Sechowski of South Bend, IN. Kathleen was a lifelong Notre Dame Football fan. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
