SOUTH BEND - Bernice J. Chrobot, 95, passed away at 5:35 pm Monday, July 8, 2013, in the Hamilton Grove Care Center. Bernice was born March 19, 1918, in South Bend, to the late Paul and Josephine (Watroba) Zmyslo. On June 21, 1941, in St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Bernice married John Chrobot, who preceded her in death on June 11, 2011. Bernice was also preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen, Bernard, Walter, Stanley and Florian Zmyslo; and by a sister, Helen Bolka. Survivors include a brother, Al (Rose) Zmyslo of South Bend, and many nieces and nephews. Bernice retired from the Raco Corporation after 24 years of service. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, a member of the Rosary Society and M.R. Falcons. Bernice also enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards and bingo. Visitation for Bernice will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Today, July 11, 2013, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, July 12, 2013, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
