MISHAWAKA - Larry A. Van De Putte, 59, was born on December 31, 1949, in Mishawaka, IN. Larry passed away peacefully in the arms of our loving Lord on Thursday, September 3, at 8:10 p.m. in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. He was preceded in death by his father, Andy Van De Putte, and grandparents, Cyriel and Erma Van De Putte, Cyriel and Valerie Adams. Surviving are his mother, Elsie Elizabeth Adams Van De Putte Wozniak, loving uncle and aunt, Firman and Vernelle Adams, and special cousin, Helen Bennett. Larry was a very special and loving son. He was so kind and had an enormous impact on everyone he met. He was loved so much by all his family and friends. Larry lived at Friends and Neighbors group home nearly four years. The family would like to thank the staff and all of his caregivers who were so kind and loving to Larry. He loved to dance and loved Lawrence Welk music. He always made me smile when he would say: "I love you mom." "Larry, my special son, I will hold you in my heart until we meet again, my sweet angel. Your loving mother." Visitation for Larry will be on Monday, September 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
