SOUTH BEND Tillie Horka, 91, of Eastmont Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in her residence. She was born on Nov. 9, 1906, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.She was married on April 21, 1934, in South Bend, as Tiilie Szalewski to Roman Horka, who preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1993.She is survived by three nieces, Juanita Beach and Virginia Eufemi, both of South Bend, and Annette Soderstrom of Danville, III.; three great-nieces, Christine Hadrick and Janette Hooten, both of South Bend, and Laurel Soderstrom of Danville; three great-nephews, Edmund Beach of Mishawaka, Philip Beach of South Bend and Ronald Soderstrom of Danville; and by two great-great-nephews, Brennan Beach and Adam Hadrick, both of South Bend. Services will be at 2 p.m, on Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where friends may call from noon until time of service.
Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
