Charles (Chuck) A. Witz, Jr. passed away on March 6, 2021 at 10:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Chuck was born to Charles, Sr. and Mary (Roher) Witz in South Bend, Indiana on February 21, 1945. He had been a resident of the Plymouth area since 1969. On June 28, 1969, he married the love of his life, Mary J. Wojcik, who preceded him in death on October 29, 2020. He was proud to serve his country as part of the U.S. Navy. Chuck worked for Wilfong United Van Lines for 29 years, and retired from the Marshall County Highway Department. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Chuck was a Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame fan, and enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, especially helping them with their 4H projects. He also was proud to be a member of the honor guard at the American Legion post 27 in Plymouth, where he was a 50-year member. He was also a member of the Plymouth VFW. Chuck is survived by his stepson, Jeff Wojcik and his grandchildren, Mary Jane Wojcik of Plymouth, Matt Wojcik of Portland, OR, Ryan and Jeff Wojcik and Libby (Sheldon) Habbandall of Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Witz, brother Bill, Bobby and Terry Witz. In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Cremation services are being provided. A memorial for Charles and Mary Witz will take place June 27, 2021, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Plymouth American Legion.
