Edward Kingma, 87, of Ogden Dunes, IN, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 14th in Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso. Ed shared a lifelong passion with his beloved wife, Jane. He was a devoted daddy to his adoring daughters, Connie Leader (Raymand) of Coal Valley, IL, Cyndi Kingma of South Bend, Candy Kingma of Indianapolis, IN, Heidi Bogart of Mishawaka, IN, Hildy Kingma of Matteson, IL, and Jennifer Gress (Mike) of Wilmington, OH; his extraordinarily lucky grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah, Martha, Kristin, Carl, Patrick, Nicholas, Torrey, Margret, Elaine, Lilia, and Jenna; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Payton, Camden, Kaydence, Morrigan, Chase, and Braeden; and sister, Norma Wondahl (Martin) of Schererville, IN. Ed was a salesman extraordinaire who never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial celebration of Ed's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) Sunday, August 17th in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
