SOUTH BEND - Ann Marie Jankowski, 79, of South Bend passed away at 3:15 AM Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Creekside Village, Mishawaka, IN. She was born on October 27, 1936 in South Bend, IN to Peter and Anna (Guagenti) Plaia. On February 1, 1969 in South Bend, IN Ann married Richard B. Jankowski, who survives her.
In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her daughter, Beth (Jim) Kominkiewicz of Granger, IN; her son, Andy (Lisa) Jankowski of Indianapolis, IN; stepson, Jeff Jankowski of South Bend, IN; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose Kambol of Mishawaka, IN; and two brothers, Peter Plaia & Salvadore Andrew Plaia both of Plymouth. Ann was preceded in death by her parents as well as two sisters, Frances Rohr & Pauline Banghart; and two brothers, Joe & Frank Plaia. A memorial service for Ann will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 2, 2016 with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
