June 15, 2016, our dear Bud died. He was born on March 25, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended the prestigious Shortridge High School where Norma Poppenseaker became his high school sweetheart. When he returned from duty serving in the US Navy during World War II, he and his sweetheart started their life's journey on March 2, 1946. He went to pharmacy school at Butler University and graduated in 1950. He bought a pharmacy, Kraft Pharmacy, in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he lived for 25 years. His final journey brought him to Tallahassee Florida.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Norma, his daughters, Marcia Van Wingen (John), and Nancy House (Dave), 5 granddaughters, 8 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters, and 3 great-great granddaughters.
The memorial service will be June 30, 2016. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home-Speedway, 2950 North High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in his name can be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308, or John Knox Presbyterian Church, 3000 North High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46224-2002.
