GRANGER - Alice R. Golubski, 92, who resided at Emeritus at Arborwood in Granger, Indiana, formerly of Finch Lake in Decatur, Michigan, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010. Alice was born February 8, 1917, in South Bend, Indiana, to Ignatius and Mary (Demski) Rajski. She retired in 1970 from the United States Postal Service. On June 16, 1937, Alice married Theodore J. Golubski, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1993. Surviving are her daughters, Beverly (Richard) Faltynski of Granger, Indiana, and Sharon Wager of Edgewater, Florida; grandchildren, Lori Faltynski, Tracy (Jeff) Petkovich, Melissa Higdon, Christine Morris, Sue (Ryan) Wagner and Michael Ward; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Dustin, Taylor, Tracy, Kristi, Nicholas, Paige, Elisha, Kathryn and Alexis; great-great-grandchildren, Brayton, Aubree, Sophia, Keely and Kai; and her sister, Henrietta Jurgonski of South Bend, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, Indiana, where friends may call one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care Alice received at Emeritus at Arborwood.
