SOUTH BEND - Frances A. Hyduk, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She was born on June 27, 1926, to the late George and Helen (Kubasiak) Kibiloski in Bronson, MI, and had lived in South Bend since 1948. Frances graduated in 1943 from Bronson High School in Bronson, MI. She retired on October 25, 1996, from Sears, Roebuck & Company, where she worked as a Receiving Clerk for 24 years. On September 4, 1948, as Frances Kibiloski, she married Casimer "Smokey" Hyduk in Bronson, MI. He passed away on June 28, 1988. Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Paul Hyduk; four sisters, Josephine Muir, Eleanor Chappa, Florence Neverske, Victoria Trocke; and two brothers, Walter Kibiloski and Joseph Kibiloski. Frances is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Holzwart of South Bend, IN; two sons, Greg A. (Jan) Hyduk of South Bend, IN, Dave L. (Mary Kay) Hyduk of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Heather Hyduk, Jacob (Heather) Hyduk, Jordan (Molly) Holzwart, Carrie (Eric) Hoffman, Lindsey Hyduk; seven great-grandchildren, Isaac, Nathan, Spencer, Nolan, Benjamin, Harrison, Elizabeth; three sisters, Mary Linkhart of Fort Wayne, IN, Alberta Barkowski of Bronson, MI, Rose Skandis of Bronson, MI; and many nieces & nephews. Frances was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sharing with others. She loved to work crossword puzzles, and enjoyed her frequent telephone conversations with her sisters. Frances was a warm and loving mother who was very proud of her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Visitation will be from 3 8 p.m. today, January 9, 2015, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN, with Rev. Glenn Kohrman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
