SOUTH BEND - Mildred A. Milovich, 91, passed away at 5:42 am, Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in her residence with family members by her side. Millie was born on December 17, 1920, in Detroit, MI to Andrew and Anna Kavaya. Mrs. Milovich was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Kavaya, her brother, Louis Kavaya and sisters, Jennie Smith and Dorothy Teshich, all of Detroit. Millie was married Nov. 19, 1944 to Walter E. Milovich who passed away March 31, 2007. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Millie Milovich is survived by her daughter, Karen (Rick) Kiska of South Bend; two sons, Ronald (Judy) Milovich and George (Jean) Milovich, both of South Bend; 12 grandchildren, Tim (Ashley) Strahla of Plymouth, IN, Ryan (Olivia) Strahla, Jason Strahla, Joseph Milovich, Michael Bailey, Chris (Emily) Milovich, and Nick (Lauren) Milovich, all of South Bend, Andy (Cher) Milovich of Hurricane, WV, Matt Milovich of Columbus, OH, Melanie (Alex) Moskowitz of St. Thomas, USVI, Brad Milovich of San Diego, CA, and Brian Milovich of South Bend; her three furry great-grandchildren, Oliver, Sylvester, and Sammy; fourteen great-grandchildren, Katarina Umbaugh, Isabela Cano- Strahla, and Ryan Cano-Strahla, all of South Bend, IN, Serenity Robertson, Mackenzie Strahla, and Braelynn Strahla, all of Plymouth, IN, Addison Milovich and Dylan Milovich of Hurricane WV, Maxine Moskowitz and Riley Moskowitz both of St. Thomas, USVI, Eli Milovich, Carly Milovich, Ean Milovich, and Lia Milovich, all of South Bend, IN; and her best friend and caretaker, Sheila Neeley. Millie is also survived by three sisters, Helen Kavaya and Ruth Zatezalo from Troy, MI and Estelle Mc Clure of St. Clair Shores, MI. Millie worked for many years with her husband Walter at their companies, Ace Tool Eng. Co. Inc and Summitt Tooling. Family and Friends may call from 4-8 pm Friday, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble, South Bend, IN 46613. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 12:00 pm, with one hour visitation prior to service, in the Sts. Peter And Paul Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, Animal Control or Pet Refuge of South Bend.
