Casimer "Casey" J. Krawiec
MISHAWAKA -- Casimer "Casey" J. Krawiec, 71, of Brenden Rise Lane, died at 7:48 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 25, 2004) in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center South Bend after an illness. He was born Feb. 15, 1933, in South Bend to Joseph and Anna (Lis) Krawiec. On Aug. 25, 1962, he married Mary Louise Widmar in South Bend. She survives. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Krawiec and Helen Marcinkowski, and three brothers Edward, Stanley and Chester Krawiec. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, where the rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. The funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, South Bend, with the Rev. Leonard Chrobot, pastor of St. Patrick's, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Granger. Mr. Krawiec was a United States Navy veteran who served in the Korean War as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was a carpenter at Skyline Corp. in Elkhart for 31 years before retiring in July 1997. He also worked for the former White Farm equipment Co. in South Bend for 12 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 357 in South Bend and the Polish National Alliance.
