Walter Biskupski
April 1, 1928 - August 15, 2018
South Bend - Walter Biskupski, 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Memorial Hospital. Walt was born April 1, 1928 in Poland, to the late Frank and Weronika Biskupski. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian C. (Buzalski) Biskupski, and their son, Ronald Biskupski. Survivors of Walt include his son, John (Kim Marie) Biskupski; daughter-in-law, Carol M. Biskupski; step-children, Joe (Linda) Pazli, Mary (Jim) Mentag; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tony Biskupski. Walt honorably served his country in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He retired from the RACO Corporation after 28 years. Walt was a parishioner at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League. Walt enjoyed all the time he was able to spend with his friends there and the interaction they had with their local community. He enjoyed working in his yard and on machinery. Walt was a Mr. Fixit, he would even tell his grandchildren to break things just so he could fix them. He was known as the Mayor of his neighborhood and a big jokester. Walt loved all the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2:00pm to 7:00pm, Sunday, August 19, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary being prayed at 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, August 20, 2018 in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
