Margaret M. Kwiecinski, of Chapin Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, in her home. Margaret was born on April 26 to Martin and Alice (Kaczmarek) Kwiecinski, who preceded her in death. She retired on Jan. 13, 1992, from Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. "AEP," where she was employed for 53 years as a senior clerk.Survivors include her four sisters, Christine Banicki, Delores "Dolly" Kwiecinski, Lori Wroblewski and Arlene (Pete) Spitz, all of South Bend, Ind.; her two brothers, Marvin (Mary Ann) Kwiecinski and Ronald (Barbara) Kwiecinski, both of South Bend; her sister-in-law, Ann Kwiecinski of Mishawaka, Ind.; her brother-in-law, Ray Krych of South Bend; her two aunts, Roselie Stefaniak and Jean Nowak; and by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Zenobia Krych, and her two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Kwiecinski.
Margaret was a member of St. Stanislaus Parish and the Apostleship of Prayer. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Chopin Fine Arts Club, Marine Corps League Auxiliary and the V.R.E.A. She was nominated "Woman of the Year" in business in 1991. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and reading. She was an extremely generous, caring and loving person with her family and friends and all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, in St. Stanislaus Church, 415 N. Brookfield St., South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m.
