SOUTH BEND - Irene V. Lusk, 90, of South Bend passed away Friday, January 20th in Healthwin Specialized Care surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Lusk was born February 27, 1926 in South Bend to the late Mary (Wilfing) and Joseph Vaghy and was a lifetime area resident. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Baloun. She is survived by her daughter, Leann Rybicki (Todd) of South Bend; son, Alan Lusk (Alice Isaacson) of South Bend; five grandchildren, Zachary Lusk (Abby), Elliot Lusk (Becca), Grace Lusk (Will Hagel), Hannah Rybicki and Emma Rybicki; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Lusk; four stepsons, Fred Lusk (Karen) of Carmel, IN, James Lusk (Pat) of Avon, IN, David Lusk (Esther) of Lake Lure, NC, and Harry Lusk of Westfield, IN; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Irene worked as the Administrative Assistant for over 20 years in the Art Department of St. Mary's College. She enjoyed working with the students along with other faculty members. Her greatest joys in life were being around her grandchildren and seeing them become young adults.
