SOUTH BEND - Mary Jane Jagla, 90, of South Bend, IN, passed away Monday, May 18 at 2:40 a.m. She was born on May 11, 1925 in South Bend, IN to the late Joseph and Verna (Nemeth) Wishin. Mary Jane was a lifelong resident of South Bend. On October 11, 1952, she married Edward Jagla, who preceded her in death in December, 1993. Mary Jane is survived by a daughter, Rebecca (John) Robertson of South Bend and two sons, Brent (Kathleen) Jagla and Brian (Ann) Jagla, both of South Bend. Mary Jane is also survived by nine grandchildren; Stephen, Laura, Claire, Helen and Katherine Jagla and Ian, Sarah, Andrew and Mary Robertson. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary Jane was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Lutes and Opal Wishin; and two brothers, Edward "Bud" Wishin and Robert Wishin. Mary Jane was employed by Robertson's Department Store for 30 years and was also employed by Indiana & Michigan Electric Company in the accounting office. Mary Jane was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend and was very active in the Altar & Rosary Society at the church. The family would like to thank Kelly Kare Services and the entire staff at the Milton Home for their dedication and loving care of our mother. Services will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church; 226 N. Hill Street, South Bend, IN 46617 on Thursday, May 21 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Fr. Brian Ching. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the services at the church. Graveside services will follow at Highland Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Harbor Light Hospice; 1608 E. Day Road; Mishawaka, IN 46545.
