Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Lukasiak; children, Diane Frye, Alyce Robertson, Julie Wille, Ruth Berenzy, Paul, David & James Kwiecinski; 17 grand & 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Kwiecinski & Arlene Spitz; & brother, Ronald Kwiecinski. Visitation is 2-8 pm Thurs. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, with a Rosary at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 am Friday in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial follows at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Marvin Martin (G.O.M.) Kwiecinski
April 19, 1931 - Sept. 17, 2012 SOUTH BEND - Marvin (G.O.M.) Martin Kwiecinski, 81, passed away at 4:30 am Monday, September 17, 2012, in his residence with his wife and grandson at his side. Marv was born April 19, 1931, in South Bend, to the late Martin and Alice (Kaczmarek) Kwiecinski. Marv was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Roseanne Frye, and grandson, Kristian Wille; and siblings, Lawrence, Edward and Margaret Kwiecinski, Christine Banicki, Lorraine Wroblewski and Zenobia Krych. On November 7, 1953, in South Bend, Marv married Mary Ann Lukasiak; she survives along with children, Diane (Bart) Frye of Muncie, IN, Alyce (Neil) Robertson of Miami, FL, Julie (Petter) Wille of Strasbourg, France, Ruth (John) Berenzy of Olive Bridge, NY, Paul (Lisa) Kwiecinski of Stone Ridge, NY, David (Faith) Kwiecinski of Rosendale, NY, and James (Lea) Kwiecinski, of Chichester, NY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Shepler, Andrew and Julianne Frye, Anne Marie and Katherine Robertson, Elan, Abigail, Veronica, Cecelia, and Joshua Kwiecinski, Sofia and Silvia (Kima) Benito, Elisabeth Wille, Kalena Kwiecinski, Tatyana DeMuns, Garland and Elijah Berenzy; great-grandchildren, A.J. and Caroline Shepler; sisters, Delores "Dolly" Kwiecinski of South Bend and Arlene (Pete) Spitz of South Bend; brother, Ronald (Barbara) Kwiecinski of South Bend; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Marv honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War; he was a lifetime member of the Army Navy Union and Post Commander. He was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Matthew, where he was a money counter. Marv sang in the St. Hedwig Choir, where he met his wife, and was involved with the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine Program. After 33 years of service, Marv retired from Mossberg Printing in 1990; he was also employed at Studebaker and Bendix Corporations. He was a graduate of Central High School and Lewis Massage School, and attended Holy Cross Seminary for three years. Marv was a Massage Therapist for the Center of Hospice and Palliative Care; he was a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and received a National Humanitarian Award. Marv was an usher supervisor for Notre Dame sporting events for more than 30 years. He donated over 15 gallons of blood to the Central Blood Bank. Visitation for Marv will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm today, September 20, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, September 21, 2012, in The Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Cathedral of St. Matthew, 1701 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46613; to The Center of Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 331 S.
