SOUTH BEND - Michael P. Rodick, 67, passed away at 5:30 am Monday, June 6, 2016, in Cardinal Nursing Home. Mike was born on June 3, 1949, in South Bend, to Nicholas and Dorothy (Martynowicz) Rodick. He was self-employed in the construction industry. Michael was a United States Army veteran, a member of American Legion #284, VFW #8748, the Army/Navy Club, Calvert Rod & Gun Club and ZB Falcons. Surviving are a daughter, Dawn Rodick of South Bend; three sons, Dean Brittain and Joseph Rodick, both of South Bend, and Chris (Rebecca) Brittain of Elkhart; six grandchildren, Addison, Joey, J.D., Courtney, Crystal and Nora; a great-grandchild, Hazel; three sisters, Brenda (Mark) McCammon, Cathy (Joe) Przybysz and Pat (Barry) Mead; and a brother, David (Cindy) Rodick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Shaun Brittain and Michael Joseph Rodick; and siblings, Nicholas Rodick Jr., Tom Rodick, Barb Zwierzynski, Marie Doran and Rich Rodick. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
