Vincent T. DeLalla, 66, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday October 11, 2008, in his home. He was born on February 9, 1942, in Teaneck Twp., Bergen Co., NJ, to the late Vincent D. and Gertrude (Ahrens) DeLalla. On July 3, 1965, he married Carol Jones, who survives. Along with his wife of 43 years, he is survived by his daughters, Donna (Mike) VanKirk of Granger, IN and Deborah (John) Joossens of Portland, OR; his son, Vincent W. (Heather) DeLalla of Wauwatosa, WI; three grandchildren, Thomas Vincent, Tyler Michael and Carly Rose VanKirk; and by two sisters, Jeannette VanDort and Dorothy DeLalla, both of Spokane, WA. Vincent worked for Honeywell (Bendix) for 42 years, retiring as an Operations System Analyst. He was the former President of Chet Waggoner Little League and was a very devoted father and grandfather. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday October 14, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Funeral services for Mr. DeLalla will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, October 15, 2008, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
