Raymond W. “Pepper” Pietrzak, 72 of Dunedin, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Monday in Mease Hospital, Dunedin. Mr. Pietrzak retired from South Bend Sash and Door Co., South Bend, as plant manager, and was an employee of the former Studebaker Corp.
He was born Feb. 7, 1920 in Pittsburgh, Pa., and lived in South Bend until moving to Florida in 1985. He is survived by three daughters, Jane King of North Liberty, Carolyn Higgins of New Carlisle, and Julie Fine of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Paulinski of South Bend; three brothers, Robert Pietrzak of Houston, Edward Petrak of Glendale Calif., and Frank Pietrzak of South Bend.
He was a veteran of World War II and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8748, American Legion Post 50, and Moose Lodge 106, Schoolcraft, Mich.
