John Madaracz, 34 years old, 1125 West Jefferson boulevard, died at St. Joseph's hopsital last night after 11 days' illness of pneumonia. He is survived by his wife; five children, Stephen, Joesph, Michael and John Nikos and Mrs. Michael Deztich; his mother, two sisters and one brother in Hungary and a brother Joseph, of this city, who is also ill of pneumonia. Mr. Madaracz was born in Hungary, Dec. 12, 1885. The body may be viewed at the residence Saturday and Sunday. Funeral services will be held at St. Stephen's Catholic church at 10 o'clock Monday morning, Rev. Lawrence Horvath, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery. Mr. Madaracz was a member of the Woodmen of the World lodge and the Chamber of Commerce.

On Nov. 7, 1912, Rev. Alexander Varlaky of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in South Bend, married Elizabeth Gerencer, 35, widow, and John Madarasz, 27. Elizabeth was born May 30, 1877 in Hungary to Paul & Elizabeth Meszaros Gerencser. Both of her parents were born in Hungary and were deceased. John was born Dec. 22, 1885 in Hungary to Joseph & Elizabeth Lorencz Madarasz. Both of his parents were born in Hungary. His father was deceased; his mother was living in Hungary. It was John's first marriage.
