SOUTH BEND - Marjorie M. Nemeth, 93, passed away at 8:09 pm Thursday, October 1, 2015, in Memorial Hospital. Marjorie was born on March 7, 1922, in Dowagiac, Michigan, to Earl and Myrtle Shearer. On May 16, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, she married Joseph Nemeth, Jr., who preceded her in death. Marjorie worked at Bendix where she met her husband. She was a hard working, strong-willed person who loved to play the organ, bowl, knit, crochet, bake and dance, but most of all she loved the outdoors. Marjorie will always be loved and missed. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly A. Szymarek of South Bend; a son, Donald (Pat) Nemeth of South Bend; three grandchildren, Chad A. Szymarek, Jennifer L. Szymarek and Thomas (Jamie) Derue; and four great-grandchildren, Kiera Catanza, Brecken Derue, Hadley Derue and Hertford Derue. Private funeral services will take place with burial at Highland Cemetery. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice.
