SOUTH BEND - Mary “Jackie” Prikosovich, 84, passed away at 4:30 pm Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in her home surrounded by family and friends. Jackie was born on January 28, 1933, in LaPorte, IN, to Gerald and Goldie (Tomolak) Daele. At the age of 2, George Nemeth became her stepfather and would raise her. She was employed by DeGrof Studios as a portrait painter. Jackie was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church, the Medjugorie Prayer Group and the LOG Chapel Group. On August 24, 1957, in Our Lady of Hungary Church, she married Rudolph L. Prikosovich, who survives along with a brother-in-law, Robert (Helen) Prikosovich of South Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 5 brothers-in -law Anton, William, Steven, Anthony, and Matthew Prikosovich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm.
