SOUTH BEND - Rita A. (Urbanski) Davis, 65, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6, in her residence.

Rita was born on March 20, 1933, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. She retired in 1997 as a secretary with Muszynski Insurance.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol (Ray) Derucki of South Bend; a son, Ken (Teri) Davis of Portage, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Ed, Katie, Emily and Matthew Davis, Mitchell, Andrew and Kenneth Derucki; and by four sisters, Lauretta (Ralph) Muszynski and Joann (Jim) Badowski, both of South Bend, and Terry (Jim) Sharpe and Esther (Ed) Ksiezopolski, both of Granger, Ind.

She was preceded in death by a son, John Davis in 1993.

Rita was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral and the M.R. Falconettes, Nest #200.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, in St. Matthew Cathedral, with the Most Reverend Joseph Crowley officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.
