South Bend - Loretta Alice Klota, 89, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Loretta was born June 30, 1932 in South Bend, John and Lillian (Nadolny) Rzeszewski. On June 29, 1957 Loretta married Wendell Klota, he preceded her in death on January 13, 2003. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Korey Simpkins. Left to cherish the memory of Loretta are her children, Kathleen (Charles) Simpkins, Kristine Kopec, Joseph Klota, Thomas Klota, Wendell J. (Lori Thomas) Klota, and Korrine (Robert) Levendoski; grandchildren, Michael (Maggie) Kopec, Angela (David Saunders) Kopec, Christopher (Nikki) Klota, Adam (Ashley) Klota, Kourtney Simpkins, Kasey Simpkins, and Marissa Levendoski; great-grandchildren, Khloe, Kaiden, & Kelton, Brayden & Alivia, and Grace & Ryan; and daughter-in-law, Cheri Klota. Loretta was parishioner and a member of the St. Theresa Society at St. Casimir Catholic Church. She was very proud of her Polish heritage. Loretta especially enjoyed her Thursday mornings, getting her hair done and then having lunch with her girlfriends. She also looked forward to going to the lake cottage on the weekends with her family. Special thanks to Heartland Hospice nurses and staff for giving us the guidance and the care provided to our mother. Visitation for Loretta will be 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 7, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Funeral Service to begin between 11:45 am and 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
