PHOENIX, AZ - Warren LaRue Latson Jr., “Butch,” 75, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on May 31, 2016, at the Thunderbird Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, Arizona, as daughter Laura, son James and son-in-law David held his hands as he passed to his heavenly descent. Warren was born on July 21, 1940, to Warren LaRue Latson Sr. and Clarice (Van Hulle) Latson. Warren was a retired truck driver who loved his family and friends and enjoyed NASCAR with a special fondness for Jeff Gordon to whom he referred to as “Jeffie.” Warren's favorite thing to do was to sit out on his bench and watch the comings and goings of the day and the people on his street. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Clarice, his two sisters, Judy Weaver and Wanita Niemier, his wife, Aileen Latson, and daughter, Victoria Latson Krol. Warren is survived by his brother, Richard “Dick” Latson of South Bend, IN; daughter, Laura (David) Vanator of Goodyear, AZ; son, James “Jim” (Kim) Latson of South Bend, IN; son, Michael (Mariyln) Latson of Osceola, IN; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; six step-children; many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held for Warren “Butch,” at The Westside Conservation Club located at 24435 Grant Rd., South Bend, IN 46619, on July 4th 2016, at 1 p.m.
