Frieda Moeller of Issaquah passed away Friday, May 9, 2003 at Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. She was 88.
Frieda was born March 25, 1915 in Friedland, Germany to Albert and Amelia Luxnat. She was raised and attended school in Goldap, East Prussia. On March 11, 1949 she married Willy Moeller in Rellingen, Germany. They moved to Northern Indiana in the spring of 1954, where they settled on a farm. On the farm they raised a family and she continued with her artistic endeavors.
In 1991 Frieda and Willy moved to Issaquah to be near their children. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking, baking, culinary pursuits and spending time with her family. Her family will remember her as a loving, devoted and sacrificing wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband Willy Moeller of Issaquah; her son, Holger Moeller of Half Moon Bay, California; her daughter, Elke Lewis of Issaquah; her brother; Kurt Luxnat of North Liberty, Indiana; her sister, Liesel Steffens of Roetgen, Germany; and one granddaughter, Aleksondra Jordan of Issaquah. A private family service was held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Medina. A public memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses at Fall City; a date and time will be announced.
