GRANGER - William D. Paldino, 92, of Granger, IN, passed away early Thursday morning, February 5, 2015, at his residence with his loving and caring family at his bedside. William was born on July 17, 1922, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to James and Fredia (Keiffer) Paldino. William was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Fredia Lucarini; and brother, Herbert Paldino. On November 5, 1944, William married the former Joan J. Jefferies in Mishawaka, IN. Joan passed away in 2001. William is survived by his children, Dino Paldino of Osceola, IN, Pam Paldino of South Bend, IN, Gale Paldino and Thuy Givens, both of Osceola, IN. William was a grandfather to 7 grandchildren, Robbee (Matt) Center, Chad Brown, Jamie (Andrea) Brown, Rachael Givens, Jeremy, Jennifer and Jamie Fullmer. William was great-grand-father to 13 great-grandchildren. William served in-country for the United States Navy during WW II. William was a Group Leader at Taylor Products, retiring in 1986 after 28 years of service. William was the owner/opera-tor of Paldino's Fireplace & Grill. William enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, attending auctions, and gambling. He was also a New York Yankee baseball fan. William helped established the Harris Township Little League in the late 50s early 60s. One of William's greatest joys was decorating for Christmas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 11, 2015, with Samuel Barrington officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN. The family would like to extend their gratitude to William's 3 caregivers and the Hospice Foundation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545-523234.
