LAKEVILLE - Lauretta Mae Grzesiak, 92 years old, passed away at 7:37 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Signature Health Care in Bremen, IN. Mrs. Grzesiak was born on January 6, 1924 in South Bend to the late Everette and Doris (Burgoyne) Casper. She has been a lifelong resident of South Bend and Lakeville. On October 4, 1947 in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Ernest Robert Grzesiak who preceded her in death on March 6, 1993. Mrs. Grzesiak was also preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Neal, Vera Jean Maggio, and Ruth Milnickel; and two brothers, Everette Casper and Harley Casper. Mrs. Grzesiak was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lakeville and was also a member of the Rosary Society of the church. She worked at Bike Webb in South Bend for seventeen years.Mrs. Grzesiak is survived by her son, Patrick Grzesiak of Lagro, IN; two grandchildren, Karen Edwards and Drew Webber; seven great grandchildren, Colton, Erin, Mya, Courtney, Ashley, Phoenix, and Virgil; two sisters, Dorothy Daniels of Pine Bluff, AR and Carol Avants of Osceola, IN; two brothers, Donald Casper of South Bend and Willard Casper of Mishawaka; and her sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Rose Culp of Lakeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 63568 U.S. 31 South, Lakeville. Graveside services and burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, February 19th, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville, where the rosary will be prayed at 3:00 p.m. Contributions in memory of Lauretta Mae Grzesiak may be donated to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 63568 U.S. 31 South, Lakeville, IN 46536.
