Charles W. Minter, 64, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. Chuck was born November 25, 1952 in South Bend, IN to Charles E. and Rose (Palfi) Minter and lived in the area all of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of John Glenn High School and was interested in auto racing, fishing, bowling, motorcycles and mushroom hunting. Survivors include three sisters, Beverly (Lynn) Fraine of Plymouth, Sally Petro of North Carolina and Susan (Dale) Schmeltz of New Carlisle; two brothers, Robert (Adela) Myers of Texas and David Minter of Indianapolis; his fiancee, Teresa Mattke of North Liberty; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton.
