Richard T. "Rick" De Vreese

Feb. 5, 1955 - Jan. 29, 2013 SOUTH BEND - Richard T. "Rick" De Vreese, 57, passed away January 29, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 5, 1955, Rick was the son of Daniel De Vreese Jr. and Virginia (Aftowski) De Vreese. His father preceded him in death. Two children, Keisha and Zack De Vreese, and a sister, Beth De Vreese, also preceded him in death. Rick is survived by his mom; two children, Daniyelle De Vreese and Candy Benson, both of Michigan; three siblings, Jeffery (Tam) De Vreese of South Bend, Ann (Cory) Melinda of South Bend and Daniel (Jen) De Vreese III of South Bend; and a special aunt, Pat (Ray) Czarnecki of South Bend. Even though Rick had a rough life, he kept his faith. His family loved him very much and will miss him greatly. A funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on his birthday, Tuesday, February 5, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
